About Bender Construction

It would be cliche to say that Carter was born with a hammer in his hand, but it wouldn’t be far from the truth. As the son of an independent residential and commercial contractor, Carter spent many summers on the job site. He grew up watching the entire process and learning each division of construction, design, project management and estimating. In 2009, after years of working as a commercial project manager and a finish carpenter, Carter decided to branch out on his own. Since that time, Bender Construction Company has attracted a high end client base that relies on Carter’s expertise in everything construction, including kitchens renovations, outdoor living spaces, bathrooms remodels, basement renovations & custom carpentry.

Carter is married to Shannon and they have three sons, Carter, Sam & Brody. Carter and his family love to spend their time outside on their boat, camping, watching sports and spending time as a family.

In 2022, Carter was also named Remodeler of the Year by the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville. We are very proud of this great honor for our company!

Karen Bender joined the team as the Office Manager 5 years ago and serves the company with integrity and organization. She runs all the behind-the-scenes work from the office and when on-site she helps our clients with their design needs.
